COMPANY PROFILE AND HISTORY
Northland Contract Boatbuilders was established in 1996 by
experienced boatbuilder Fraser Foote.
Since its inception NCBB has built up an enviable reputation
for quality workmanship on renovating, reconstructing, and
building from scratch a wide range of vessels.
NCBB has focused on working with other boatbuilders to meet
deadlines often taking on difficult contracts and completing
them on time and to budget.
Fraser's passion for boat building began in 1977. After completing
his apprenticeship, Fraser worked in numerous boat yards throughout
New Zealand working with vessels made of composites and wood
along with fit out work on aluminium and steel boats.
The range of experiences gave him a comprehensive overview
of the industry.
At the same time he was developing and honing his skills in
using different materials, boat building technology and understanding
the design and structural characteristics of a range of vessels,
including trimarans, catamarans, yachts, launches and speed
boats.
